Heat is back for the new year, and so am I!

Lance Cade vs. Val Venis
First match of the show starts off with a lockup in center ring that leads over to the corner as Cade tries to cheap shot Venis, but is chased out before he can. Arguing with the ref takes up some more time as they lockup once more and Venis takes the upper hand knocking down Cade and follows it up with a few chops to the chest. Venis is then tossed to the corner and kicked in the knee that gives Cade a chance time to take a few first to the face as he pulls him to the post and swings his knee in. Back in the ring Cade continues to work on the knee with various moves and submissions trying to pick up the win. School boy rollup nearly gets the quick fall for Venis, but is brought back to the far left corner as Cade slugs away on Venis. And more arguing with the ref waste time as Venis gets his second wind and pulls up out of a two count. Another attempt at the knee fails as Venis fires away on Cade’s face with a few punches and knees Cade directly on the face. Clotshline follows up with a right to knock Cade down with a back body. Full nelson slam follows up which gives Val time to go up top , but the knee still bothers. Then out of nowhere the quick 1-2-3 gives the pinfall to Cade as he uses the ropes to end his recent losing solo streak.
Winner: Lance Cade

Tyson Tomko vs. Jason Static
And not to be worried, we do got a jobber of the night here as I’m expecting a quick an easy match here. And sure enough Tomko takes over as the jobber jumps off the top rope and lands right into a big boot. And without wasting anytime, Tomko picks him up and delivers another boot to the face for the win. Easy.
Winner: Tyson Tomko

The classroom with Matt Striker:
Its time for school again as Striker comes out to teach today’s lesson as he wishes us all a Happy New Year. But just because school is out for winter break, he doesn’t want us to miss out on our lessons and today’s will be: New Years Resolutions. He goes about making fun of a few fans. And tells us his resolution is to teach us all the lessons, we as fans, need to learn.

Rob Conway vs. Viscera
And of course we wouldn’t want to have the MAIN EVENT with out the CONman starting the match off with his glasses on until big Vis knocks him down hard to the mat. Back up, Rob tries to fire away a few fist until Viscera hits a one arm sidewalk slam and follows it up with a Visagra, but is countered at the last moment. More hits to the face by Rob to keep Viscera on his knees and finally knocks him down to the floor with a kick to the face. More work to the face as Conway tries to rake away at the eyes and nose until the ref count breaks up the hold. More right connect on Viscera as Rob goes up top and hits Viscera with a clothesline for 2! Conway still tries to slug away as momentum literally swings the other way as Viscera tosses him to the post and tries to squash him in between but Rob narrowly misses. Conway then tries the scoop body slam, but the big man is too much as the move backfires and Viscera falls on the CONman for the pin.
Winner: Viscera

The HEAT Wave
Not much going this week as we get pretty average matches and not that big of a HEAT main event, other than literally with the big man in the match. Not much to see here. Happy New Year!
