RVD lost to Kurt Angle via submission in his first match back from suspension last night in Poplar Bluff, MO (which happened to be in front of a crowd of over 2600 — a “new ECW” record). Looked like he took a bad bump on his neck taking a German suplex, although he continued with the match, according to fan reports. PWInsider confirms the injury, stating that he was supposedly okay, although they did go right to the match finish after the bump.
