More Green Lantern Pictures Revealed!

News, Projects

More pictures have arisen from the Entertainment Weekly Green Lantern article, of Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, and his other cast members as well. The highly-anticipated film based on the DC Comics character has been in the headlines recently after Reynolds’ in costume was finally revealed and these following shots are certainly going to keep that buzz going.

The Pulse: With the reveal of Reynolds in his Green Lantern costume, the Internet was sent into a flutter with people either bashing the new look of the suit, or keeping an open-mind to what could be a great take on the character. Personally, I think the suit looks fantastic, and I believe when it’s finally revealed in the film, it will be a great moment. There will always be people who wish things would stay the same, but if that were the case, we’d have every new superhero wearing spandex, which is something I believe would just be wrong.

While creative choices and changes are made for a character to enter the mainstream media and film, it must be known that with the massive rise in popularity, both DC and Marvel are doing all they can to treat their characters with the greatest respect during this transition. Some may not be happy with certain changes, but today, almost everything has to go through the head offices of those in charge of the actual character, so final say falls on them; and if they’re happy, we should relax and feel we’re in good hands.

The above shots just bring more excitement to next year’s release, as I truly believe they chose the perfect Hal Jordan in Ryan Reynolds. And while Blake Lively never spoke to me in Gossip Girl, from the picture taken above, she looks to fit perfectly in her role in the film. On the note of perfect, can you really ever go wrong with Tim Robbins being in your film?

What do you guys think? Do these shots make you wish the film would come out even sooner, or do you still have to wait and see if they’ll do it justice before you sign yourself up to the Green Lantern Corps?

Brendan Campbell was here when Inside Pulse Movies began, and he’ll be here when it finishes - in 2012, when a cataclysmic event wipes out the servers, as well as everyone else on the planet other than John Cusack and those close to him. Brendan’s the #1 supporter of Keanu Reeves, a huge fan of popcorn flicks and a firm believer that sheer entertainment can take a film a long way. He currently resides in Canada, where, for reasons stated above, he’s attempting to get closer to John Cusack.
