Last week horror fans got a sneak preview of the full trailer for Scream 4 when the Canadian distributor posted it on their website. While it was quickly removed from YouTube by the American distributor, the trailer has now popped online in glorious high-resolution. You can watch the trailer in high definition at Apple here.

As a hard-core Scream junkie, this trailer goes a long way towards getting me excited about the new film. Kevin Williamson seems to have recaptured a lot of the magic from the original film’s self-reflective look at horror films. Even the new teenaged cast members don’t seem too annoying. The film is directed by original trilogy filmmaker Wes Craven and stars Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courteney Cox Arquette, Emma Roberts, Rory Culkin and Hayden Panettiere.
Scream 4 opens in theaters everywhere April 15, 2011.
