The King’s Speech Blu-ray Announced

Anchor Bay Home Entertainment (as per its distribution agreement with The Weinstein Company) has sent out early word to retailers of when The King’s Speech will be hitting store shelves.

The King’s Speech will arrive on April 19th. The news comes hours after the film garnered the most Oscar nominations of any other 2010 release with twelve in all, including: Best Picture, Directing, Leading Actor (Colin Firth), Supporting Actor (Geoffrey Rush), Supporting Actress (Helena Bonham Carter), Original Screenplay, Art Direction, Costume Design, Cinematography, Film Editing, Original Score and Sound Mixing.

Specs and special features are still not known.

The King’s Speech release on Blu-ray carries a suggested list price of $39.99. The DVD is listed at $29.98.
