McG To Direct David E. Kelley’s Wonder Woman Pilot?

News

TVline is reporting that McG, the director of the Charlie’s Angels movies, as well as the executive producer of NikitaHuman TargetSupernatural, and Chuck (which he also directed the pilot of), is the favorite to be chosen to direct the upcoming Wonder Woman pilot by David E. Kelley (Ally McBeal, Chicago Hope, The Practice) for NBC. If McG is at the hand, it could be the recipe for success that the non-conventional comic book adaption needs to make a strong debut showing and begin building an audience.

The fact hat McG’s production company is based out of Warner Bros (DC Comics parent company) only makes it seem more likely. Also, given that my favorite show on TV is Chuck, I may be a little biased towards giving the director a chance.

Announced a few days ago, David E. Kelley’s pitch for an upcoming Wonder Woman series reinvents the Amazonian Princess of Themyscira as Diana Prince, costumed vigilante and successful corporate executive and modern woman, who deals with balancing all the elements of her extraordinary life.
