Chicago Bears – 13, New Orleans Saints – 30

Rhett Davis: The Saints came to play this week.  Jay Cutler may have looked impressive last week, but this week the only direction he was looking was up as he was sacked 6 times and fumbled the ball once.  The Saints defense looked solid.  Drew Brees had a pretty good outing with 3 TD’s and 270 yards.  Without the Bear’s receiver Roy Williams, Cutler had even more hindrances than just the ever-pressing Orleans defense.

Grey Scherl: New Orleans needed a win after their loss to the Pack last week, and dominance was preferred…so dominance is what they brought to the table. Drew Brees reminded people that he’s a Superbowl MVP, and Jay Cutler..Jay needs to seal the deal, one TD isn’t enough against a top tier defense. Sure, he threw two against Atlanta last week but so did Vick this week. Maybe Chicago had an off weak. Their running game couldn’t ever get going, while the Saints did double. The Saints look like the early makings of a playoff team, but the Bears need to make this game look like a fluke or they might be in danger of dropping to the #3 team in the North.

Daniels: Remember when the Giants sacked Cutler nine times last season and everyone realized that the Bears line was garbage and any fairly decent pass rush would kill them?  Yeah, that’s still the case.

Glazer:  The Saints are tailor made to smoke the Bears at home.  They’re too fast and too skilled for the tough, slow it down team unless the weather strongly favors the Bears, and maybe even not then.  The Bears have a first-place team’s schedule and should expect a lot more of this kind of thing this year than they got last.  With Detroit’s defense as good, and them being generally stronger at the skill positions, the Bears are in trouble.  The Saints look wonderful and were only a few plays from beating the Packers last year.  Ingram was a great pickup and he looks better in their offense than Reggie Bush ever did.  This looks like a Super Bowl contender to me.
