June sees Marvel double up on several of its books. That includes writer Matt Fraction and artist Salvador Larroca’s Invincible Iron Man. June 2012 sees the start of a new storyline titled the Assassination of Tony Stark.
A new Iron Man costume debuts as well, but who is under the armor this time? War Machine in new duds or someone brand spanking new? Will this be an ongoing mystery in the book or will we know in short order? Well, we’ll get a sense in a few short months.
I haven’t read Iron Man regularly in a while, but I am intrigued enough to pick this up. The superstar creative team also helps. :)
What also has me curious is whether two Iron Men (assuming Tony Stark isn’t actually assassinated in the arc by that name) can tip the scale in the Avengers favor in the ongoing Avengers vs. X-Men war? That is assuming this new armored Iron Men is on the side of the Avengers. Hmmm.
