Fox Drops “Neighborhood” From Summer Comedy Neighborhood Watch

News, Projects

You just knew that when the Florida shooting involving George Zimmerman and Trayvon blew up to national media proportions that studio 20th Century Fox would have an uphill battle when it came to marketing its July comedy Neighborhood Watch. Because Zimmerman was conducting neighborhood watch at the time the shooting occurred, the studio thought it best to re-title Neighborhood Watch to simply The Watch.

The restricted comedy finds Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill and Richard Ayoade as four suburban men who form a neighborhood watch group and discover an alien plot to destroy the earth.

The Watch opens July 27.
