While Arkham Asylum will house many adversaries for Jim Gordon, the mental institution itself will be a major character in the rest of the freshman drama’s first season.
The news was confirmed by Gotham‘s executive producer Danny Cannon in an interview with TVLine.com.
“And Episode 11 will really solidify that,” Cannon said. “When you’re making a show basically about the lunatics that are running the asylum — and I imagine that’s what Gotham is — it’s really good to actually go to an asylum and do stories there, because you can be as bold as you want to be.”
