New York Comic Con 2016 (NYCC 2016) is upon us and we finally have that much teased Wildstorm Reborn news!

Building on the DC’s Young Animal imprint model that has writer Gerard Way write and co-write a few of the imprints titles while being a showrunner for all the imprint’s titles comes news that writer Warren Ellis gets the same kind of deal for a new WildStorm imprint from DC Comics.
CB has the the exckusivce where they reported that “WildStorm will debut mid-February 2017 with a regular monthly comic titled The Wild Storm, written by Ellis with art by Jon Davis-Hunt (Vertigo’s Clean Room). This ongoing series will reset the known WildStorm universe and introduce new iterations of WildStorm characters such as Grifter, Voodoo, The Engineer, Jenny Sparks and others.”
The initial series for the imprint include “THE WILD STORM will [will] serve as a launching pad for several future series: Michael Cray, WildC.A.T.S. and Zealot. No creative team announcements have yet been made for those books.”

If you aren’t familiar with writer Warren Ellis he was the one that made Wildstorm relevant back in the day bay making Stormwatch the Authority for its initial 12 issues.
He also wrote all of his Planetary series.
