After Eugene gave Randy Orton a stunner, he gave Flair a rock bottom, which got a huge reaction from the crowd. Triple H (still standing at the entrance) and Eugene exchanged looks, allowing Orton and Flair to roll out of the ring and head backstage. Benoit then cut another somewhat sentimental promo about how Eugene had to choose between helping Regal and wrestling in the match. They then did some soft stuff for the crowd’s benefit like Eugene using his jacket to copy gestures Benoit performed with his belt. Additionally, Eugene did his airplane thing and said, “I scream, you scream, we all scream for Eugene.”
Lillian then closed the show by thanking the fans and once again reminding the crowd that Survivor Series will also be in Cleveland.
