The U.S. Olympic basketball team was defeated by Puerto Rico 92-73. This is their third Olympic defeat; first since the ‘Dream Team’ era begun. Most are blaming the lack of a ‘team concept’ for this loss to which coach Larry Brown had admitted to after the game.
This loss compiled with the one in the World Championships two years ago has taken away their aura of invincibility. Though technically it does little to hurt their potential gold medal chances, as the top four of the six team division advance to the quarterfinal.
