The USA Softball team beat Canada 7-0 in five innings after once again the ‘mercy rule’ had to be called. Jamie Finch pitched a one hitter and Lisa Fernandez went 3 for 4 with a HR. This is their third mercy win in the tournament and Canada is only the second team out of five to get a runner to third base.
Overall in international play, the USA softball team has won 75 straight games.
