WWE Raw for September 13th, 2004. Taped from Seattle, Washington

PK here. I’m sure maybe 3 of you are wondering why Jennette is doing Raw this week. It’s simple, I am just fed up with lackluster product. Last night was the straw that broke the camels back, and I will NOT be covering, and probably not even watching Raw for at least a few weeks…possibly forever. In the meantime, I will be doing Live Coverage of SmackDown this week, because Jennette is in Hurricane Ivan’s path, and he is supposed to get nailed on Thursday. Who knows after that…all I know is that if WWE wants me back as a viewer & customer, they better change things. Oh, and for those were wondering, no, I didn’t sleep with Egypt.
We kick off the show with Ric Flair, Batista, and several women in the ring. There is also a very large white cake in the ring. Flair introduces the “9 time World Champion” Triple H to the ring and he comes down the ramp and into the ring to a confetti display. The ladies hug and all over H until Flair calls them off so HHH can make his victory speech. Triple H says excitement is in the air. The Game is back on his throne. HHH puts himself over some more while Flair and the girls kneel and bow in the background. Triple H says there will be plenty of time for the girls to be on their knees later in the night! HAHAHA! HHH puts Orton down which causes the crowd to chant “RKO” but it doesn’t effect The Game. HHH says he spit in all the fans faces by winning his title back. Triple H says its time to party like a champ and the women start ripping his clothes off. HHH turns his attention to the cake which looks big enough for a person to fit inside of it. Flair says he didn’t bring out the cake and Batista also denies responsibility for the cake. HHH starts walking towards the cake and it explodes! Randy Orton pops out of the top of the cake and attacks HHH and the rest of Evolution to a MASSIVE face pop. Orton grabs the world title and hits Triple H in the face which sends him head first into the cake! Orton music hits and takes off as the crowd goes crazy.

During the break: Flair and Batista pull HHH out of the cake. HHH is covered in frosting and he slips on the mat a couple of times. Batista is sporting a very bloody nose, possibly from a legit Orton punch.
Backstage, Evolution confronts Bischoff who makes Orton vs Evolution in a three on one handicap match TONIGHT!
Subway Raw Recap: Chris Benoit dominating last week’s 8 man tag team match and finishing the job with the sharpshooter on Rob Conway.
That leads nicely to….
Chris Benoit vs Rob Conway
Before the match, William Regal comes out to make sure the odds are even for Benoit. Benoit goes for the sharpshooter twice right off the bat but Conway is able to escape and bail out of the ring. Crowd starts a “USA” chant which is just hilarious. Conway goes on offense after he doesn’t break clean in the corner. Conway works over the neck with punches and blatent chokes. Conway hits a clothesline in the corner but Benoit starts firing off the hard chops. Conway rakes the eyes to stop the comeback. Conway works over the neck some more with a neck vice submission. Conway decides to trade chops with the master and nearly gets inside cradled for his troubles. Conway quickly goes back to the chokes and working the neck. There is a “Conway is my role model” sign in the crowd! HAHA! Grenier helps Conway with a submission and Regal takes him out. That gives Benoit the chance he needs and he takes Conway out. Benoit finishes cleanly with the Crippler Crossface.

Stacy Keibler comes out for our weekly Diva search segement. She calls out the divas but gets Molly instead. Molly says the divas can have their little Slutfest….. err Slugfest later in the show. Right now, Molly wants to have a competition right now. Stacy picks a dance competition. Molly goes first to William Regal’s music and she does a ballet number! Stacy does her ass shaking routine which obviously wins. Molly attacks her from behind and Nidia makes the save. They double team Molly until Gail Kim makes the save for Molly. They work over Nidia until Victoria runs in and cleans house. TRISH runs in and she attempts to attack Victoria but she catches a beatdown. The faces clear the ring but then Easy E’s face appears on the screen and announces a 6 woman tag team match for…. RIGHT NOW.

Trish Stratus, Molly Holly, and Gail Kim vs Victoria, Stacy Kiebler, and Nidia
We are joined in progress with Nidia hitting a big splash on Trish. Nidia works over Trish for a bit but eats a big spinebuster by Trish for 2. Trish works over Nidia some more and tags in Gail who starts with her usual submissions. Nidia is able to make the hot tag to Victoria after some heel miscommunication. Victoria cleans house on Trish and Gail but gets suplexed down by Molly. Molly splashes Victoria in the corner but Stacy tags herself in and rolls up Molly from behind and gets the surprise pin!
Winners – Victoria, Stacy Kiebler, and Nidia
Backstage, KANE confronts Bischoff and says his “bitch wife” caused him to get no sleep last night. KANE wants HBK TONIGHT. Bischoff says KANE can have Shawn any other night. KANE grabs Bisch by the collar and Bisch says KANE can have anyone he wants tonight in a No DQ match. KANE agrees and drops Bischoff back to his feet.

We are back with Chris Jericho’s Highlight Reel! Jericho comes out with his freshly won IC title around his waist. Jericho says the real highlight is what he did at Unforgiven. Jericho puts over the ladder match last night and mentions taking part of the ladder up his ass? Jericho mentions his win was the “record breaking seventh time” for an IC champion. Jericho introduces his next guest, HBK Shawn Michaels who comes out in his ring gear. Jericho kisses HBK’s ass a little bit talking about how its great to see HBK back on Raw. HBK puts over him match last night which was no DQ for those scoring as home. Jericho says HBK’s match was impressive, but not quite as impressive as Jericho’s record breaking seventh IC title win. HBK says that’s why he is out here. HBK mentions he is in his wrestling gear and he says he an IC title shot TONIGHT. Enter Christian with Tomko following close behind. Christian talks about the Chronicles of Christian. Christian says he proved he was the greatest ladder match competitor of all-time. Christian says he deserves the title. HBK says he can get a shot at it as soon as he beats HBK! HBK proposes Christian vs HBK tonight. Jericho goes to the outside and talks to a bunch of fans and eventually we get Tomko/Christian vs HBK/Jericho and its NEXT.

Chris Jericho & Shawn Michaels vs Christian and Tyson Tomko
We are joined in progess with HBK getting a thesz press on Christian followed by some right hands. HBK chops away and tags Jericho as the heels work over Christian’s injured ribs. Jericho hits a vertical suplex and tags HBK back in who is now matched up against Tomko. HBK outquicks Tomko and hits some more chops but gets caught with a lariat as the heel take over. Tomko beats HBK down with some power moves and tags in Christian. Christian chokes HBK on the ropes and mocks Jericho’s juke N jive act. Christian misses a charge and HBK gets the hot tag to Jericho who cleans out. Jericho goes for the walls on Christian but Tomko tries to break it up. Jericho sees it coming and takes Tomko out with a springboard dropkick. Jericho dumps Christian and the faces hit stereo flying crossbody blocks to the outside. HBK and Jericho stand tall as we go to commercial break.

We are rejoined in progess with the heels in control. A replay shows that Christian hotshotted Jericho on the ropes. The heels work over Jericho’s neck with chokeholds and chinlocks. Tomko comes in and lays some clubbing forearms to Jericho’s neck. Jericho is able to hit a desperation flashback and make the hot tag to Jericho who cleans house on the heels. HBK dumps Christian and hits an inverted atomic drop on Tomko followed by a clothesline. HBK hits the the flying elbow drop and Shawn tunes up the band in the corner. Christian sneaks up from behind and grabs HBK’s feet and pulls him groin first the post. Christian grabs the IC title belt and attempts to hit HBK but gets speared by Jericho. Tomko charges HBK in the corner but HBK ducks and hits sweet chin music for 3!
Winners – Chris Jericho & Shawn Michaels
After the match, Christian takes HBK out from behind and hits the unprettier on the outside! HBK and Christian to feud? I dig it.

Seattle Slugfest time. Coach is already in the ring and he calls out the three contestants. The viewers voted off Joy. We are gonna have Carmella vs Christy in a boxing match right now! The winner is the first one to land a knockdown in the 2 minute round. NO CHANCE! THAT’S WHAT YA GOT! The f*cking man himself, Vince STRUTS to the ring and gets on the microphone. Vince says next week is the season premiere of Raw and Vince will have a groundbreaking announcement that will effect everyone in the WWE and the all the fans. Vince also says that Carmella and Christy are not going to beat the hell out of each other. They are going to beat the hell out of COACH! Vince rips into Coach and makes him put his hands behind his back. Vince says if Coach moves his arms or his legs, he is FIRED! Christy blasts Coach in face a couple of times, then punches him in the nuts. Coach sells it and Christy jumps on his back and punches him in the back of the head a bunch. Christy then bites Coach on his ass! Crowd pops large for that. Carmella goes next and BACKHANDS Coach a couple of times. Coach SELLS Carmella’s punches and even falls down several times for her. Christy is declared the winner and she celebrates. The winner will be decided next week.

Kane vs Gene Snitskee?
Kane drags Lita to the ring by the arm. This is a total beatdown the entire way until Snitskee hits a LOWBLOW! Kane doesn’t sell it for long and he boots the jobber down and goes and grabs a chair. Kane wraps the chair around the jobber’s neck and appears ready to pillmanize the guy’s neck when Lita gets into the ring and unwraps the chair off the guy’s neck. Kane jumps down and gets in Lita’s face. All of a sudden the jobber gets up, hits Kane in the back with the chair and he falls on top of Lita! There goes your miscarriage angle right there. They give Lita the full on stretcher job while Kane proclaims the entire time “the baby will be ok” HAHA!

They continue to wheel Lita off on the stretcher. Kane is much more concerned with the baby then Lita.
Smackdown Rebound: Eddie vs Angle from Smackdown. The Big Show took out 22 men!
They load Lita into an ambulance and Kane follows suit.

3 on 1 Handicap Match: Evolution vs Randy Orton
Randy holds his own for several minutes, out punching HHH and Batista until getting caught with a spinebuster by Batista. HHH starts the beatdown and goes for the Pedigree but Orton gets a ballshot to counter it. Orton goes for the RKO but HHH pushes him off right into a Batista MURDERKILLDEATH lariat. Evolution triple teams Orton, drawing a DQ and continues the beatdown until MR BENJAMIN runs in the ring. Evolution beats Benjamin down and continues the assault until CHRIS BENOIT comes down and evens the odds. Orton pairs off with HHH, Flair and Benjamin, Batista and Benoit. Flair and HHH get cleared out of the ring and Batista is hit with (in order)
