World Wrestling Entertainment -R- Hires Jonathan Sully As Vice President, International Marketing; Former Hasbro Executive to Work in WWE -R- UK Office With Focus on Global Expansion

STAMFORD, Conn., Oct 13, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Kurt Schneider, Executive Vice President, Marketing, today announced that Jonathan Sully is the new Vice President, International Marketing. Sully will be based in WWE’s London office.

Sully will be focused on marketing the WWE brand outside of North America. He will play an integral role in the newly announced UK initiative by WWE that will introduce UK-based television production, additional live events, promotional programs, licensed product launches, and on-the-ground appearances from the larger-than-life WWE Superstars in the UK. Sully will use the format of this brand initiative to launch similar efforts in Europe and the Pacific Rim. He will also be charged with developing new marketing partnerships.

Sully, a native of London, was most recently employed by Hasbro International. Based in Rhode Island since July 2002, Sully served as VP International Marketing Boys Toys. He was responsible for international sales and strategic marketing, and successfully built a U.S. based International team to secure sales of U.S. product lines in International Markets. Prior to his stint in the States, Sully worked in Hasbro’s London office as European Marketing Director Boys Toys, directing European sales and marketing strategies from October 2001 to July 2002, and as Global Brand Director Action Man, handling global sales and marketing responsibilities for the Action Man properties from January 1998 to October 2001.

Before Hasbro, Sully worked in a variety of client and agency roles specifically as a Director for BBH Futures Consultancy, part of BBH Advertising Group, from August 1996 to January 1998, and for New Solutions Consultancy, part of Omnicom Group, from April 1995 to August 1996. From June 1992 to April 1995, he worked for IDV (Diageo) as Senior Brand Manager Smirnoff, during which he increased Smirnoff sales and launched three successful line extensions: Smirnoff Moscow Mule, Smirnoff Blue Flavors and Smirnoff Black. Sully started his marketing career with Beecham Consumer Products (GlaxoSmithKline).
