Variety reports that DreamWorks will be producing a Baywatch movie for the big screen. The film will be adapted from the TV show which ran for 12 seasons and spawned the careers of such people as Pamela Anderson, Carmen Electra, Gina Lee Nolin, among others. The show about a group of beautiful lifeguards working on a beach ran for 12 seasons and became one of the most popular shows in the world.
The deal calls for show creators Michael Berk, Doug Schwartz and Greg Bonann to produce, while Michelle Berk will be executive producer and Eli Roth will co-produce.
No word on any of the original cast reprising their roles for the film.
