[WWE] Supershow Results From Honolulu, HI 2-1

Archive

Just got back not too long ago. What a loaded show. I can’t believe I paid
$25 for a live show with a better card than most $35 PPVs they had this last
year.

Edge vs Shelton Benjaman for the IC title
great opener. Edge got good heat. Shelton wins with the T-bone.

Victoria vs Trish for the Women’s title.
Trish came out in a neckbrace and sold it for the begining of the match. She
eventually ripped it off and pinned Victoria after she missed a top rope
moonsault.

Coach comes out and welcomes Hawaii’s own Don Muraco. Coach informs us that
he is a winner and Muraco is a loser. Muraco punches Coach.

Eddie Guerrero and Rey Misterio vs Bashams for the WWE titles.
real good match. Eddie was especially great. He untied the tag rope and
moved it to the middle. Crowd ate it up. Bashams got DQed after one of them
hit Rey’s knee with a chair to block the 619.

Maven vs Batista
Maven came out and complained he wasn’t in the Rumble. He called Batista a
gorilla which brought out batista to a superstar reaction. Maven jumped
Batista while posing. One spinebuster and one powerbomb by Batista and thats
all she wrote.

JBL and Orlando Jordan vs big Show
JBL was the only guy on the card to have little to no heat. He even had a
limo.People were excited about Big Show’s chops. Match was pretty much what
you would expect. Big Show with a chokeslam on Jordon.

Battle Royal
Jindrak, Reigns, Bob Holly, Renee Dupree, Chavo Guerrero, Big Show, Benoit,
Jericho, Regal, Akio, Funaki, Charlie Hoss, Paul London, Kenzo,Orlando
Jordon, Spike Dudley, Conway, Grenier, Christian, Tomko, Hassan, Rhyno,
Taijiri, and Venis were all in the battle Royal. It came down to four RAW
guys and four Smackdown guys. Final four was Y2J, Benoit, Big Show, and Bob
holly (three of these things they go together…). final two was Benoit and
Show. Same over the top rope guillitine finish from the 2004 Rumble. biggest
pop of the night for Benoit winning.

Ric Flair vs HBK
People were going for HBK. This was a great match as would be expected. They
pulled out practically all their stuff. HBK went for a sunset flip and
pulled down Flair’s tights for the crowd. HBK escaped the figure four and
hit an elbow drop and a superkick for the win.

John Cena vs Kurt Angle for the US title
The heat was wierd. People were booing Cena but not really popping for
Angle. Kurt was on offense most of the match. Cena was suplexed all over the
place. Match dragged a bit. Cena escaped the ankle lock and hit the FU for
the win. After the match Cena acknowledged Angle’s reception from the crowd.

Brothers of Destruction vs Brothers of Ineptitude
Sniskey and Heidenreich come out first. Kane comes in with a huge pop.
Undertakers entrance is the biggest pop of the night. Match was not as bad
as I thought it would be. Pretty bad though. After seeing Heidenreich and
Sniskey in the same ring it becomes clear that Heidenreich is the worse of
the two. Finish had Sniskey and Heidenreich lay out Taker and Kane and turn
to the crowd, leaving Kane and Taker to do a double sit up, double chokeslam
and double tombstone for the win. Kane celebrates like an 80s babyface after
the match.

HHH vs Randy Orton for the world title
This match was a streetfight. HHH worked hard in this match. he took two
bumps on the floor, a bump over the turnbuckle, and juiced after a stair
shot. Match was back and forth. Orton ended up losing after a chairshot to
the head. Good match.

All in all it was a great show from top to bottom. Big ups to the WWE. If
this show is any indication Anchorage is in for a treat.
