Matt Hardy was not at RAW last night after being asked by management to not visit the arena. Management wanted time for emotions to cool off, and since Lita and Edge were both written into the show and Matt was not, it was decided to ask him to stay away. Hardy abliged and did not come to the show.
Both Lita and Edge had meetings with management to discuss the situation and figure out how to avoid their personal matters from affecting the backstage workplace at a time when everyone wants to focus on the road to WrestleMania.
The Lita-Edge-Hardy situation was the talk of everyone last night, as people at Smackdown were on cell phones attempting to get updates from people at Raw regarding what was going on. The situation went from secretive to open between the weekend and last night.
Reportedly, there seemed to be little to no shunning of Edge and/or Lita backstage. There was said to be an obvious awkwardness that followed them wherever they went backstage and the mood was obviously less relaxed than usual as a result. The locker room at this point is sympathetic to Matt Hardy, who is a well-liked and popular individual and had a great reputation as a loyal, kind boyfriend in a business that is known for volatile and abusive relationships.
