Radha Mitchell (Melinda and Melinda) is set to join the film Silent Hill, which will be based on the popular videogames. Sony’s TriStar Pictures will handle distribution rights. Roger Avary (Pulp Fiction, Killing Zoe) has written the screenplay.
The horror feature will be directed by Frenchman Christophe Gans (Brotherhood of the Wolf). In the game by Konami, the story tells of a woman named Rose who searches for her daughter while trapped in a mysterious town.

Ed Sanchez (Blair Witch) will direct a horror feature called Altered for Rogue Pictures. The movie will be produced by Robin Cowie and Gregg Hale (Again, Blair Witch). Sanchez penned the screenplay with Jamie Nash.
Adam Kaufman, Catherine Mangan, Brad William Henke, Mike Williams, Paul McCarthy Boyington and James Gammon will star in a story about a group of men whose lives were changed by a strange occurrence, 15 years ago to the present day.
