Courteney Cox, who has been out of the acting scene since Friends due to being pregnant, will join Tim Allen in the Columbia Pictures superhero movie, Zoom.

The film will be based on a graphic novel by Jason Lethcoe and tells the story of a retired, out-of-shape superhero (Allen) who is called into duty to work with a group of new superhero kids. Cox will play a scientist who runs the organization of secret superhero kids. Zoom is due out for release May 2006.


Antonio Banderas will join Jennifer Lopez in a new film titled Bordertown. Gregory Nava (Selena) will direct the feature.

The film centers on a journalist who investigates a series of murders that take place in the vicinity of U.S.-owned factories on the U.S.-Mexico border. New Line Cinema will release the eventual film.


Teri Polo (Meet the Fockers) has signed on for a new comedy titled Nothing But the Truth.

Polo will play the teacher of a 17-year-old (Ryan Pinkston) who tells outrageous lies in school just to win popularity. Polo will play Mrs. Moran, a teacher at the school who is the object of affection for all male students, including Sam. Things take an unexpected turn when he lies to his best friend that Mrs. Moran has the hots for him.

Christian Charles (Comedian) will begin directing the film next month.
