From WWE.com:

FEEL THE BACKLASH
MAY 2, 2005

Now that Backlash is history, what’s next for RAW’s Superstars?

Y2J fought valiantly and seemed poised to capture his eighth Intercontinental Championship when he locked in the Walls of Jericho on Shelton Benjamin. But the athletic youngster battled through and earned a big win over the Ayatollah of Rock N Rolla. After the match, a disgusted Jericho refused a ringside interview and stormed up the ramp. Where does Jericho go from here, and what will he have to say, if anything, tonight on RAW?

Trish Stratus was weary of the Big Red Monster, Kane, but she didn’t expect to suffer damage at the hands of Viscera. Big Vis crushed Trish with a big splash following his Backlash match, and the Women’s Champion had to be helped by ringside EMTs. What is the condition of the Women’s Champion? Watch RAW for more on this.

Triple H’s fury could not be contained following his defeat at the hands of World Heavyweight Champion Batista. Where does Evolution go from here, and what will The Cerebral Assassin have to say following the result at Backlash?

Tune in tonight (9/8 CT; Spike TV) to feel all the Backlash fallout.

From the warped mind of Matthew Michael:

WORTH THE THIRTY-FIVE BUCKS?
MAY 2, 2005

Now that Backlash is history, how will RAW’s creative team tread water until this month’s Draft Lottery mixes things up again, rendering some feuds over and useless?

Y2J fought valiantly and seemed poised to capture his eighth Intercontinental Championship — a title so prestigious to Jericho, he’s fought for it time and time again despite being the first ever Undisputed World/WWE Champion — when he locked in the Walls of Jericho on Shelton Benjamin. But the athletic youngster battled through the pain and minimal crowd heat to earn a big win over the Ayatollah of Rock N Rolla. After the match, a disgusted Jericho refused a ringside interview and stormed up the ramp, causing the crowd to become even more silent, just when the fans had gotten behind the former champ. Where does Jericho go from here, and will WWE actually let him cut a heel promo live on RAW despite the fact that the crowd obviously wants to cheer him and boo Benjamin?

Trish Stratus was weary of the Big Red Monster, Kane, but she didn’t expect to suffer damage at the hands of Viscera … well, unless Big Vis got the win and insisted on being on top. The man on a mission crushed Trish with a big splash following his loss to Kane and fan-favorite wife Lita, causing the crowd to get behind the former King of the Ring big-time. Trish had to be rushed to the back by the medical staff, but who really cares? Less Trish means more Lita, and that’s what the fans are craving! But will Kane leave Miss Congeniality for Mabel? Will Trish give updates from her hospital room? Will Matt Hardy finally make his return and get revenge on Kane for stealing his girlfriend? Watch RAW for more on this.

Triple H’s fury could not be contained following his defeat at the hands of World Heavyweight Champion Batista, even though the match lasted a good 10 minutes longer than Batista should have needed to dispose of The Game. Will WWE remember to play up HHH laying his hands on Flair, and finally give Batista the mouthpiece he needs? Will Edge (remember him?) try to take advantage of a beat up Batista with a World Title challenge tonight? Will HHH resort to taping date vignettes with Viscera in order to take up more valuable TV time? Will WWE even mention the fact that there are new World Tag Team Champions?

Tune in tonight (9/8 CT; Spike TV) to feel all the Backlash fallout and who knows, maybe even get more details about the Draft Lottery to take place “sometime in a month or so.”
