TNA Impact Report

Video package on AJ vs Jeff, including a sitdown interview by both with Mike Tenay. Very interesting thing that we don’t see often: Jarrett interrupts AJ, and Mike Tenay tells him that it’s AJ’s turn to talk. An announcer defending a wrestler, why not?

We start in the RDS studios with Marc Blondin and Michel Letourneur. TNA Hard Justice is of course this Sunday. Letourneur says how Dusty is trying to screw with JJ, while Blondin asks what does Tito Ortiz have to do with wrestling. DAMN RIGHT! This is why Blondin > Letourneur.

Exclusive interview with Elix Skipper on RDS. Highlights include:

-His father and grand father were huge wrestling fans and this is the reason Skipper is in wrestling to this day.
– Started at the WCW Powerplant and is a kick boxer
– Trains 6 days a week for an hour
– He will become the TNA World champion one day

Elix Skipper vs Eric Young (w. Scott Damore) vs Jeff Hardy vs Christopher Daniels: Hardy is thrown out of the ring by Young, while XXX fight it out. Young and Daniels with a double suplex to Skipper, and then he gets thrown out of the ring. Hardy with a double dropkick from the top. Hardy does a jawbreaker on Young and a legdrop between the legs to Daniels. Going for the cover, Young breaks the count. Um, why, this is an elimination match. Young with a suicide dive to Skipper. Hardy sets up a chair and flies on both Elix and Eric. Daniels does a crossbody to everybody while holding a chair to his stomach! Out of nowhere, Raven shows up, attacks Hardy and takes him to the back where he is never seen again. Daniels stands alone in the ring.

We’re back and Daniels is still alone in the ring. Every time Skipper and Young goes to the apron, Chris knocks them down. After doing this for 2 minutes, Damore tries, but is unsuccessful. Skipper finally goes into the ring with a clothesline. After punches and kicks (he was a kick boxer, you know), Skipper gets a belly to belly for 2. Hurrincarana on Daniels from the top. Young is back and keeps reversing the reverse piledriver with Skipper, until Skipper gets a big move for trrrrrrrois. Then, Skipper cradles Daniels for 3, even though the time limit expired once Skipper got the cradle.

Commercials

Independent wrestling is talked about.

We see and exclusive interview with Petey Williams on RDS. Highlights include:

-He doesn’t care if American fans don’t like him, as long as the Canadians fans do
– Idolizes Bret Hart and Chris Benoit
– Even though there politics about the flag in Quebec, the fans here still cheered him when he brought the Canadian flag out
– Team Canada is very strong in TNA

10 men gauntlet (first one eliminated is the first one who enters this Sunday, the winner gets to be last): Michael Shane and Chris Sabin (who has his jaw bandaged) start it off. Sabin just beats on him, until Trinity tries to stop him. Traci comes and runs Trinity back to the locker room. Shane is working on the jaw, while Sabin fights back. Michael trying to eliminate Sabin, nope. Bobby Roode is next and now the entries are every 30 seconds. Petey Williams is next and both he and Roode double-team Shane and Sabin. Sabin with a spring board moonsault to both Canadians. Next up is David Young. Roode is on the apron and Williams grabs him to avoid elimination. Sabin with a kick and Roode is the first one eliminated. Trytan is next and he is huge. Clothesline to Shane and big boot to Williams. Young is out of there. Then, Shane and Williams are eliminated as well. Ralph (from Team Canada) is next. Hurrincarana by Sabin to Trytan. Up Next is Hoyt and man is he over. 9th man is Abyss. Hoyt eliminates Trytan with a big boot. Abyss clotheslines Ralph, Sabin and Hoyt. Apolo is the last man. Ralph gets eliminated. Apolo goes crazy on everyone, until Hoyt knocks him down.

Apolo runs, Abyss moves out of the way and Apolo is eliminated. Good riddance. Hoyt tries to eliminate Sabin, but isn’t successful. Abyss tries the same thing and gets the same result. Double dropkick by Sabin. Sabin is brought to the apron, and Abyss goes to Hoyt, who moves out of the way, and Sabin gets knocked out by Abyss and eliminated. Face to face go Abyss and Hoyt. Now it’s pinfall or submission. Abyss throws Hoyt over the top and Abyss thinks he won. Outside, they do what they do best -> brawl. Back inside, Abyss with a clothesline to the corner. Hoyt fights back with a shoulder block and punches. Hoyt runs into a boot, but Hoyt gets a sideslam for 2. Hoyt to the top going for something, but Abyss catches and we got the chokeslam. That gets 2. Now Abyss runs into a boot and Hoyt gets a clothesline from the second rope. Moonsault from the top gets 2. The Naturals show up and gets swatted right away. Going for the boot, no, black hole slam for un, deux, trrrrrrrrois.
