[RAW] Off Air Notes, Heat Spoilers & Dark Match Results

Archive

Here are a few notes from the live Raw in Green Bay tonight. I’d say there was about 6,500 people in attendance as the Resch Center usually hold 10,000 for non-wrestling events, but the top layer of 10 seats was tarped off all the way around the arena. So here are the Dark Match and Heat results.

Dark Match:
CM Punk defeated Matt Capotelli of Tough Enough fame with a spinning neckbreaker…The finish might have been messed up as Capotelli kicked out at 2 and a half but the ref counted 3 anyway.

Heat:
Robert Conway defeated Val Venis by submission with a variation of an armbar/breaker type move.
Hurricane defeated Maven…Maven was with Simon Dean and Hurricane had Hurri-compnay with Rosey and Stacy decked out in her superhero outfit. Hurricane won with the Eye of the Hurricane after a Stacy slap on Maven.
The HeartThrobs defeated Regal and Tajiri in a tornado tag match. The Heartthrobs entrance is hilarious, but there’s not much good after that’s over. They won with the double reverse Russian leg sweep.

OFF AIR:
Nothing happened after Raw went off the air except for The H (boy he waited long to come back) celebrating with his sledgehammer and Naitch. Batista slowly got up, selling the injury all the way to the back grasping his title around his chest. Nothing else really to note except I sat on the side of the titantron and a few of the agents were over there, such as Steve Keirn and Ricky Steamboat, who seemed to be talking to a new employee, who I didn’t recognize.
Biggest pop goes to Vince easily, followed by Batista, Heyman and Benoit.
Biggest heat to Bischoff, Edge, and the Coach.
Not much good wrestling, but you can’t walk away disappointed when you got to see a historic moment like the heads of the Big 3 in the same ring at the same time delivering an unbelievable promo. Too bad they almost tarnished that moment by putting together a contradiction to what Heyman said with the Benoit-Tajiri match being full of weapons.
All an all, an average show with one classic moment and a very good title match with a lot of build.
