WWE ByteThis! Report

Archive

We kick off ByteThis! tonight with Marc Loyd. He
announces that Steve Romero isn’t there due to travel
issues. He tells us that our guests tonight are Rob
Van Dam, Viscera, and Christian. He announces the poll
question which is: Who will be the first to go in the
draft lottery? He also announces that this month on
WWE 24/7 is Father-Son month. He recaps the current
events on Smackdown! and RAW.

We see the video package of Triple H’s return and Ric
Flair’s low blow to Batista.

We come back to Droz. He states he wasn’t shocked by
Flair’s actions, but was shocked that Batista actually
trusted him. He says Batista “let out some steam” on
Mohammad Hassan and Davari. He says that Batista has
beaten Triple H twice, but doesn’t see Batista beating
Hunter three times. Marc asks for his two cents on
Lita and Edge. He says that they are doing some
serious prodding on Kane. He says that when Kane
clears his mind he will go on a rampage on Edge and
Lita. He says he was shocked about Kurt Angle’s
decision from the battle royal on Smackdown! He said
he enjoyed John Cena’s tribute video about JBL, but is
still shocked that he said “I Quit!” Droz answers the
poll question and says that he thinks Christian will
go to Smackdown! first. Droz leaves.

Marc Loyd announces that next week he will take the
night off and Tommy Dreamer and Paul Heyman will be on
ByteThis! for a special ECW ByteThis! RVD will be on
next and Steve Romero will be there as well.

We see a video of RVD vs. Bam Bam Bigelow at an ECW
event.

We return with Marc and Romero. Marc says that they
haven’t heard from Rob since January. He says that in
his match with the Bashams he tore his ACL and his
meniscus and that the doctor says he will be out for
6-12 months. Rob says his flexibility has helped him
with recovery. He states that an average person could
not endure the rehab he is going through. He says that
besides rehabs he’s been running comic conventions and
signings. Van Dam was in London a couple of weeks ago
and recently also went to Mexico for a week with his
wife. He said his store is going well and has had
appearances from Spike Dudley, Chris Benoit, Kane, and
Bret Hart. He is moving the store to Rometa and will
be opening June 23, with Rey Mysterio appearing. RVD
says that when he gets back he might want to tag with
Rey Rey again. Marc suggests they roll to the next
topic and Rob says, “Speaking of rolling, it is 4:20,
oh, not that kind of rolling.” He says One Night Stand
will be for hardcore ECW fans or for someone who has
never seen ECW before. He says it will be historical
and kick ass. He says the invasion by WWE isn’t what
will make money for the event. His dream match would
be against Rhyno, since Rhyno got Rob’s TV title
because Rob was injured. He says another would be
against Jerry Lynn. He says he loves his DVD, “One of
a Kind”. He says it features his best matches and has
awesome interview segments. On the topic of the draft
lottery, Rob said he liked it on RAW but was happy to
go to SD! to be with his “homies” Booker and Rey. He
doesn’t want to go to RAW again, unless some of his
friends went over there. RVD leaves after an “E-C-DUB”
chant. Marc and Steve show the ECW magazine and
announce Big Vis is next.

We see a video of Viscera vs. Benoit in a beat the
clock match.

Viscera is on the phone. Marc asks what is up with his
move where he gets on top of his opponents. Vis
explains that he uses the move to embarrass his
opponent. He claims the move is called the “Visagra”
instead of Viagra. They ask him why Lillian out of all
the divas and he says a gentleman never tells. He
claims he is a singer, dancer, and romancer. He has
charisma and draws ratings. He gives a shout out to
“his boys” Mo and Oscar. On Edge and Lita, he says
that he respects Kane and no man deserves that. He
says Kane should be like him and be a player. Vis says
he wants to be on the panel for the RAW Diva Search.
He closes by saying he might go for the gold because
of his incredible strength and charisma. Steve shows
us the Backlash DVD and Christian is next.

We see a video of Christian vs. RVD in a ladder match.

Christian enters, and is asked about the draft
lottery. He says it’s going to be wild. Marc says he
doesn’t want Christian to leave. Christian states that
if he stays on RAW or goes to SD! he’ll be after the
World Heavyweight or WWE title. If he does get
drafted, Cena should keep his head up because
Christian is a “better rapper and would be a better
champion.” Christian enjoyed the fan reaction in
Canada. We get an e-mail question that asks if
Christian goes to Smackdown! who will be his new
problem solver? Captain Charisma says he hadn’t though
about it really, but couldn’t see himself without
Tomko because he trusts him so much. On his
Wrestlemania match, Christian says the match was
physically demanding. He says the five other men were
the cream of the crop. Marc comments that he and Steve
were confident of Christian in the Gold Rush
Tournament. Christian says his loss to Kane didn’t
hurt his confidence. He is asked about helping Edge,
and he says that he’ll help anybody if there is
something for him. Christian says the verbal argument
and match he had against Flair were surreal, because
Christian watched him before he started wrestling.
Marc asks if he has thought about a Captain Charisma
DVD. Christian says there is a good chance, but wants
to do more things in the business before making a DVD.
In closing, Christian says his goal is the gold and
that this will be the “Year of the Peep.”

Romero and Loyd promote the One Night Stand jersey and
“Best of the 80’s Wrestlers” DVD. They say that there
will be a special guest on the Cabana tomorrow. The
tag titles will be on the line as well, and Kurt Angle
vs. Sharmel. They remind us that Dreamer and Heyman
will be on ByteThis! next week and the show ends with
Batista vs. Mohammad from last Monday.
