Highlights from OVW at SIX FLAGS PARAMARX ARENA, June 3, 2005:

Match 1 – KEN DOANE VS. KENZO SUZUKI
REF: Deuce Mahoney

Match started in the rain, with Doane coming down to the ring with an umbrella. Doane won via pinfall after a rapid series of clotheslines, a flying elbow, and finally flying off the ropes to drop his full weight on Suzuki.

Match 2 – DANNY INFERNO VS. GANGREL W/AARON “THE IDOL” STEVENS & BETH PHOENIX
REF: Deuce Mahoney

Inferno won via pinfall after a bodyslam, following failed interference. Stevens, Gangrel and Phoenix beat down Inferno post-match, broken up by refs.

Match 3 – AL SNOW VS. LANCE CADE
REF: Deuce Mahoney

Lance “Garrison” Cade came out wearing black airbrushed American Flag pants, black cowboy hat and shirt and Al Snow came out with Head. At one point, Al crushed Cade’s hat, followed by a series of vicious elbow-drops and a sitting piledriver. Later on in the match, Al Snow performed a Rock Bottom on Cade, but just when it seemed as if Al had the advantage, Lance HULKED UP, shook the finger, performed a legdrop, and cupped his ear for the crowd! Cade then DID THE WORM, but then Al Snow pulled out SOCKO and doing a mandible claw. Snow win after hitting him with Head for the 1-2-3.

Match 4 – SEVEN VS. BLASTER LASHLEY (W/MIKE MONDO & KENNY BOLIN)
REF: Ray Ramsey

Blaster won via pinfall after a hard shoulderblock on an injured Seven (injured at the TV tapings for the 6/4 show), then followed with a post-match beat-down.

Match 5 – OVW CHAMPIONSHIP
BRENT ALBRIGHT VS. ELIJAH BURKE
REF: Chris Kay

The two fought long and hard up until a ref bump led to Lance Cade coming out from the back (Cade has beef with Albright over a TV Title feud, and he wants the OVW Title for himself). The match ended in a no-contest due to interference, but after the match, Burke grabbed the belt and had a brief struggle, but then he relented and held Albright’s hand up. The storyline is that Burke’s cracking under pressure.

Match 6 – THE BLONDE BOMBERS W/JILLIAN HALL VS. THE THRILLSEEKERS
REF: Robert Brisko

The Blonde Bombers came out on the stage with Chad wearing a headband over his eyes and carrying a cane, as if he were blind, mocking Johnny Jeter’s eye injury. Jeter (w/eyepatch) and Matt Cappotelli ran out and the match began. Tank Toland got the pin over Jeter with help from Hall interference.

Main Event – REY MYSTERIO & SETH SKYFIRE VS. M-N-M
REF: Chris Kay

M-N-M came out with their WWE Tag-Team Champion belts between their legs, but Skyfire and Mysterio got a huge crowd pop. They worked Rey’s ankle bigtime, but the babyfaces won after Skyfire pinned Mercury following a double 6-1-9.

The next Six Flags event will take place on June 17th, with special guest Jerry “The King” Lawler.
