The cable network GSN finalized a deal for repeat rights to “The Amazing Race,” jumping on a growing bandwagon of grabbing syndication rights for reality shows.

The former Game Show Network has picked up reruns of all seven seasons of the show that aired on CBS, plus rights to the eighth, ninth and 10’th unaired seasons. The first repeat will air on July 11.

“‘The Amazing Race’ is perfect for our network. It offers everything that our network stands for — competition, adventure, terrific production values, good storylines and great characters,” says Ian Valentine, head of programming at GSN. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be the year-round home of this award-winning series.”

GSN’s deal for “The Amazing Race,” comes just a few weeks after OLN picked up rights to “Survivor” and VH1 got “America’s Next Top Model.” Networks previously thought audiences would not have any interest in reliving unscripted material

“We have received an outpouring of responses from our viewers that they would love to see the series again, and we have many fans who came to the series after its beginning,” executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer says. “‘The Amazing Race’ on GSN will satisfy both groups and hopefully bring in new fans.”
