There have been rumors of another sequel in the Evil Dead franchise for months, fueled even more by director Sam Raimi expressing keen interest in going back to what made his name famous (well, before Spiderman famous). Apparently, despite what Raimi says, a fourth Ash film may never move past this ‘talking about it’ stage it is currently at.
Campbell spoke with IESB, saying that the rumours of an Evil Dead 4 should be downplayed. According to him, Sam Raimi’s not going to return to do a low-budget horror film when he can make incredible money with films like Spider-Man.
Also, Evil Dead make-up artist, Tom Sullivan, has gone on record and basically stated the same.
