Los Angeles, CA — July 26, 2003 — The acclaimed The Dreamland Chronicles by Scott Christian Sava returns this week from Sava’s own Blue Dream Studios and Alias Comics. Issue #2 hits Wednesday, July 27, while the already-completed 3rd issue hits shelves in August.

The first issue, which released last year, received rave reviews:

** “5 Bullets (out of 5). It is a good, good, good comic book. Clever. Funny. Gorgeous. It’s just wonderful. But don’t believe me, get a copy.” —Egg Embry, Silver Bullet Comics

** “Highly Recommended (9/10). Sava — always an inventive creator — has really outdone himself here.” —Don MacPherson, The Fourth Rail

** “Amazing. Breathtaking. Fabulous. Dreamland Chronicles delivers on so many levels it is hard to count. This is a comic book that can be enjoyed by young and old and easily read to a child. Take the best CGI movie Pixar can offer, make it a fantasy, and turn it into a comic book. That is The Dreamland Chronicles.” 4 out of 4 stars —James Mishler, Comics Buyer’s Guide

“I’m so excited to see issues 2 and 3 come out,” said Sava. “So much work goes into this epic story… it’s always a great feeling when I can hold the next issue in my hands. Alias has been so great to work with and I look forward to publishing the rest of the series with them. It’s going to be SO cool!”

The Dreamland Chronicles, an all-ages 3D-rendered comic book from Spider-Man: Quality of Life and The Lab artist Scott Christian Sava, tells the story about a young boy named Alexander who has incredible adventures in Dreamland every night with his friends—Nastajia the elf princess, Paddington the rock boy, and Kiwi the fairy. On his twelfth birthday his dreams stop. Eight years later, Alexander has started dreaming again and finds himself in a world filled with giants, dragons, mermaids, and pirates. Dealing with everyday life as a college student is hard enough; now Alex must deal with nightly adventures in Dreamland and his newfound feelings for his childhood sweetheart, Nastajia the Elf princess.

Issue 1 and 2 of The Dreamland Chronicles contains 48 pages and Issue 3 has 60 pages, all retail for $4.50 and will be available at finer comic book shops everywhere.
