[WWE] Vince Bans High-Flying Moves, Bret Hart/Vince, HHH/Flair and More

Archive

– Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE officials are making an effort to tone down high-flying moves, with an “unofficial ban” put on the 450 splash, shooting star press, and others by Vince McMahon. This is due to recent injuries (Billy Kidman giving Chavo Guerrero a concussion with a shooting star, Juventud Guerrera nailing Paul London with a knee to the face with a 450 and causing a major scare, etc.) and was told to the cruiserweights a couple of weeks ago, and Paul London was told not to use the shooting star press any more after he recently did in a recent Velocity match vs. Nunzio. London was noticeably upset, and has been told to find a new finisher. These moves may go the way of the tombstone piledriver, which is only allowed to be used by Kane and The Undertaker in special situations.

– According to WrestlingObserver.com’s Dave Meltzer, Bret Hart did all of the DVD commentary and interviews yesterday for the DVD to be released in November. WWE.com has a photo of Vince and Bret shaking hands online.

– PWInsider.com’s Dave Scherer is reporting that the Triple H vs. Ric Flair match, which was initially scheduled for Summerslam, has been postponed as they already have one current star vs. legend match on the card.
