[TNA] Matt Bentley, Upcoming PPVs, More

News

– AJ Styles will be appearing at tonight’s iMPACT! taping in Orlando, but will not be wrestling due to an apparent tendon injury suffered vs. Samoa Joe on Sunday.

– Matt Bentley (also known as Michael Shane) is currently negotiating a new contract with TNA. The company will not use Bentley until the two sides come to an agreement on a new contract. It is said that Bentley’s current contract expires in the near future. Some say they don’t expect to see him back in TNA but nothing is certain.

– TNA may look to bring Bentley’s former partner, Frankie Kazarian, back to the company as the two sides parted on good terms when Kazarian left for WWE.

– Former WWE workers Shannon Moore and Kenzo Suzuki were backstage at the Sacrifice PPV this past Sunday, as was Mike Bartman (Bart Gunn).

– Expect TNA to build a Jeff Jarrett vs. Jeff Hardy match for their next PPV, Unbreakable. TNA will be taping Impact! later tonight at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. After tonight, the next taping will be Tuesday 9/27 for the company’s first Spike TV taping, with 10/11, 10/25, 11/15, and 11/29 also tapped as TV tapings.

– TNA has announced that their November PPV will be titled Genesis. The event will take place on November 13th.

– Tickets for the 10/23 Bound for Glory PPV which TNA is pushing as their “Superbowl,” will be $59, including a fan festival with autograph sessions, etc., on 10/22 at a local hotal. This is the first time TNA is charging for a PPV since the debut three-hour event Victory Road, and to entice people to order the PPV, they will be starting the event early (at 7:30 PM ET) with the first half-hour free.
