Following are Ring of Honor newsbits from ROHWrestling.com:
– Alex Shelley is currently nursing a back injury, which is why he didn’t wrestle last Saturday. Shelley will have the injury checked out this week. Also, Shelley and Christopher Daniels have been forced to cancel off the 9/17 show. Shelley now has a Japan tour. Daniels’ booking agent double booked him and he had the previous date first.
– “ROH officials held an emergency meeting after last Saturday’s show to discuss things like the DQ finish in the World Title Three-Way and interference on other parts of the show. It has been decided that the search for an authority figure will kick into high gear. ROH officials are looking at a variety of candidates from recently retired wrestlers to recently released WWE stars to legends to wrestling historians. ROH officials are also discussing how much power to give this authority figure including how much creative control he will get.”
