Oh man, this issue was great stuff! Basically, it takes place on two fronts. On one front, Oracle is at the JSA brownstone to receive treatment for the Brainiac Virus she’s contracted. Dr. Mid-Nite has his suspicions about just who this “mysterious librarian” really is, especially since she’s being treated by the world’s best doctors with the world’s best equipment… after being carried in by Superman.

On the other front, the deadly Silk Brothers confront Black Canary for a final showdown with her and her chosen fighters: Wildcat, Huntress, Connor Hawke, Richard Dragon, Savant, and Creote. What follows is quite possibly the most amazing martial arts fight you’ll ever see in a comic book. I mean, wow.

As much as I love a good brawl, Gail Simone writes some superb character moments, and they abound in this issue. From Black Canary describing her team members, to Oracle and her dad, the former Commissioner Gordon, sharing a hug…Simone captures it all with spot-on dialogue. Props also go out to the art team for making Simone’s excellent writing come alive with equally excellent artwork.

If you haven’t gotten the gist…BUY THIS BOOK!
