Archive

On last night’s Between The Ropes radio show, Mick Foley admitted that he was very close to signing with TNA Wrestling — having an offer on the table for four months — before signing with WWE.

Had he signed with TNA, he would have been a commissioner-type figure, and had a few wrestling matches. In fact, in a recent interview taped for ESPN2’s Cold Pizza, he said that Samoa Joe — ROH star who is currently signed with TNA — was someone he would like to get in the ring with. He also stated that he hopes the SpikeTV deal would provide WWE with some competition.

After speaking with Vince McMahon, and decided to sign with WWE — not for any additional money than TNA offered — in a contract that would include a small number of matches.
