InsidePulse’s WWE RAW Report 10.31.05

When RAW ended last week, John Cena was grasping his ankle in excruciating pain. He had just “lost” a controversial decision to Kurt Angle with General Manger Eric Bischoff inserting himself as referee. Just when it seemed things couldn’t get much worse, Bischoff announced in a WWE.com Unlimited exclusive that Cena would have to face Shawn Michaels on the next Monday Night RAW — regardless of his condition.

So, this week on RAW, HBK will get another crucial chance to make his Taboo Tuesday case before the voting public. “The Showstopper” won last week’s Triple Threat Match against Kane and Big Show, the other two potential Taboo Tuesday main-eventers. Now, Michaels will get to impress against the WWE Champion himself. Will Michaels be able to take advantage of Cena’s potentially weakened state, or will it be an FU to HBK?

And you won’t want to miss what will surely be a titillating Diva Halloween Costume Contest. Maria, Ashley, Trish Stratus, Mickie James, Candice and Victoria will all be trying to outdo each other in this revealing contest.

On consecutive broadcasts, RAW Superstars invaded SmackDown and then Friday Night’s Superstars returned the favor. Will there be more inter-brand confrontations leading up to the SmackDown selection match at Taboo Tuesday?

Also, Ric Flair and Triple H seem unwilling to wait until Nov. 1 to settle their differences. Will they tangle again on RAW this week?
And Eric Bischoff is sure to feature Superstars and matches relevant to the ongoing Taboo Tuesday voting. What will the GM do, and how will you cast you votes?

Be sure to cast your votes now, and tune in to RAW (9/8 CT; USA Network) for all this and much more.

LIVE from Anaheim, CA
Hosts are Jerry Lawler & Johnathan Coachman

Bischoff and Masters make their way out to the ring. Tonight, it’s a special Master Lock challenge for Rey Mysterio. Teddy Long accompanies Rey to the ring. Chris is surprised by Rey’s arrival here tonight, and Mysterio replies by hitting Masters over the head with the mic. RAW superstars come out to help Chris, but Smackdown! does the same. 619 on Masters, as I notice that Christian is still around. Smackdown! stands victorious as RAW backs off.

Backstage, Bischoff yells at Edge and Masters for what just happened.

Kurt Angle vs. Tajiri
Angle flattens him with a clothesline for 2. Vertical suplex gets 2. Tajiri tries to come back, but Angle stops him with a belly to belly suplex. Tajiri fights out of the leg scissors and eventually gets a kick to the face for 2. Tajiri continues the onslaught, but a Tarantula attempt is countered into the ankle lock to end the match.

Afterwards, Angle calls for the tap out footage to be shown from last week. This prompts Cena to run out and get into it with Kurt. Angle runs off as we cut to a:

Video package is shown of the HHH/Ric Flair relationship.

Ric makes his way out to the ramp to a big pop. Flair says that the game is far from over, as it has just begun. He says that after so many years of kissing Hunter’s ass, he will finally get a chance to kick it. He once again pleads for a cage.

Commercial break.

Rob Conway vs. Eugene
Eugene attacks him to start, as Conway goes out for a steel chair. Eugene cuts him off, but Rob gets the advantage back in the ring. Elbow is followed by an elbow drop by the Conman. Eugene hits an elbow of his own, but walks into a powerslam. Eugene hulks up, but the Stunner is reversed. Rock Bottom isn’t though, and Eugene picks up 2. Rob crawls out and hits Eugene with the chair to cause the DQ.

Afterwards, Conway continues to beat on Eugene, causing all his possible partners to run out for the save. The King (who’s dressed as the Burger King) even joins in with the elbow.

Backstage, Grisham runs into Helms and Foley.

Commercial break.

Carlito’s in the ring with a mic. He says that the only face people should be considered with is his own, when Dude Love appears on the screen, who morphs into Cactus Jack, who then morphs into Mankind who does a really bad rap. Before Carlito can say anything, he’s interrupted by the Coach, who’s tired of waiting for Stone Cold.

Commercial break.

We’re back with Coach still waiting for Austin. Coach says that he wasn’t planning on attending Taboo Tuesday alone, and he calls his man out to the ring. That man is…Goldust. Coach threatens to come to the back and drag Austin out, but Vince McMahon walks out. Apparently, Austin was involved in some sort of accident over the weekend and won’t be at Taboo Tuesday. This means that Coach is automatically declared the winner. But Vince says that Coach is obligated to wrestle somebody at TT, and since he’s the #1 announcer on RAW, he will face the #1 announcer on SD!. Funaki runs out and gets his ass handed to him. Coach says that he will face ANYBODY from Smackdown! who will step up, enter Batista. Coach tries a cheap shot, and Goldust starts beating on him. Vader comes out of nowhere as Batista starts the comeback and puts a stop to it.

Commercial break.

Triple H vs. Viscera
HHH nails the top rope as Vis climbs over it, causing him to be in some serious pain. Pedigree and it’s over!

Viscera eats steps afterwards, as HHH grabs the mic. Hunter says that what he’s going to do to Ric at Taboo Tuesday is going to be disturbing.

Commercial break.

Backstage, Cena goes over his situation for Taboo Tuesday.

Commercial break.

The Heart Throbs vs. Big Show & Kane
Tornado tag rules. Show kills one of them with a chop, as I really can’t tell the two apart. The two big guys look like they’re trying to outdo each other, as Show superplexes one of them. Kane then goes up and gets a flying clothesline on the other dude. Double Chokeslams give us double pins to end the squash.

Commercial break.

Diva Halloween Costume time, as King is in the ring per usual. By the way go to http://wrestling.insidepulse.com/articles/44128 for some news updates pertaining to tonight’s RAW. The girls look okay, but they could be a lot hotter. No clear winner is decided on, as the thing ends in a brawl.

Commercial break.

John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels
HBK starts things off with the chops, but Cena fights back. The two lock-up, and Shawn forces Cena to the mat. HBK hits him with a shoulderblock, but Cena gets a hiptoss. Shawn kicks him back however, and he applies the side headlock again. Michaels looks to get dumped, but he skins the cat back in. It results in some clohteslines and a backdrop for 2. Crowd boos as Cena gets a clothesline for 2. FU attempt is escaped by HBK, and he eventually gets a swinging neckbreaker for 2. Michaels applies the sleeper, but Cena raises his arm before the third fall to some cheers. Cena gets on a roll, hits the 5 Knuckle Shuffle, and goes for the FU. HBK escapes and hits the flying forearm, setting up the elbow drop. Cena rolls out of the way, and it’s time for Kurt Angle to run down and beat the hell out of the two guys.

Afterwards, Cena goes for the FU on Angle, but gets hit with the Sweet Chin Music before he can deliver! HBK spins the belt as we fade away.

End.

Biggest cheers
1)HBK
2)Flair
3)Cena

Biggest Jeers
