PWInsider.com has reported that, according to its sources, Christian was offered a low figure in his new contract, playing a big part in his decision to leave the company. This along with frustration that the McMahons didn’t see him as a top talent despite others in the company feeling the opposite, were key reasons for his departure. Rumors continue to swirl that TNA has been in talks with the former WWE Intercontinental, Tag Team, Light Heavyweight, Hardcore and European Champion. Talks with TNA, or even signing with them, would definitely get McMahon’s attention, especially if he becomes a top star there.
In other news, PWInsider.com is reporting RUMORS that Chris Benoit’s contract is also set to expire soon and WWE is similarly lowballing him. Like with the Dudleyz and Christian, TNA would be very interested in taking advantage of this situation.
