According to Bob Ryder at 1Wrestling.com, Batista was injured last night at the SD tapings, having torn a back muscle during the end segment of the show. He was treated backstage by WWE’s medical staff, and it’s not clear how serious the injury is at this point.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider.com is saying that it was a torn latissimus dorsi, a muscle on the upper back that connects under each arm, with the muscle appearing “rolled up” and the World Champ in a lot of pain. He will be looked at, probably by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Alabama, tomorrow.
