[WWE] Lowrider Comments from Chavo and Todd Grisham

Archive

We’ll have a full ByteThis! report up later today, but to follow-up on WWE.com’s promise that Chavo Guerrero would comment on the use of an “Eddie Guerrero tribute lowrider” in a firey angle to end the Smackdown Special on Tuesday, here are some quick notes:

– Todd acknowleged the comments going around the Internet.

– A fan called in and asked Todd Grisham if he thought it was a sign of disrespect to Eddie, and Todd said he personally didn’t think so. He went on to say that everyone involved in the segment loved Eddie so much, and if they didn’t want to take part in it, they could have stepped forward and said so. In fact, Todd said, maybe Eddie was getting a chuckle over it.

– Chavo said that he agreed with Todd’s statement about Rey, etc., not doing the segment if they thought it would be disrespectful, and that WWE involving Eddie in the storyline “was a true tribute.” He said if anything the fans should be mad at Randy since he is a true heel and just doing what he could to take care of the Undertaker, and Chavo said if he was in the same situation and Eddie’s lowrider was there, he’d do the same, ’cause it’s the only way to beat the Undertaker. He said there’s nothing wrong with Randy, and WWE, using the “tools at your disposal” and it was a “great stunt” and a great show overall.
