Well 24 has returned and I haven’t been around so I apologize for that. The first weekend I was recovering from my bday and such. Last Monday well it was election time in Canada (yeah Paul Martin sucks and he is gone, yeah!) and that messed up all the times when 24 was on.
Well my boy Tony Almeida is down but not out. His wife is dead. The best President TV, heck the U.S. has ever seen, Palmer, has been assassinated. Chloe got laid. Wow”¦ that last one was the big shocker. The not-so-big shocker, the guy who slept with Chloe was a mole. Yeah that was pretty obvious. Poor poor Edgar”¦.lol
Well things are about to get started. Stay tuned for some Live 24 action.

Nerve gas has been stolen by people who want to attack Moscow. The bad dudes are after Jack. President Logan has signed an anti-terrorist treaty with the Russians. Logan’s wife has fled because he ignored her. Chloe confronts Spencer about being a mole. Jack wickedly kills the assassin after him, AWESOME>

Jack talks to Bill about sketchy Walt Cummings. Jack wants to go after Walt, he thinks him not working for CTU means there will be no blowback on CTU. The Hobbit boy finally relents and lets Jack go.
Hobbit tells Jack its not about revenge, yeah bullshit. Jack is gonna f*ckup Walt.
Jack and Audrey have another awkward moment, can we please just kill her. Although she does seem hotter this year for some reason.
Walt gets a call from the big bad dude who wants to know if Jack is dead. The nerve gas is heading to a port but has not reached yet.
A truck carrying the gas is heading to a port and the gas will end up in Moscow.
Logan is confronted by Novak, they talk about his wife who is still missing. Walt shows up. They have a tape of what happens to people who are exposed to nerve gas, its gross. Where is my warning?? Lol
Novak gets a test message from Bauer. He leaves to talk to Jack.

Novak calls Jack and is glad to hear him. He tells Novak he has something to tell him but it has to be in person. He tells him the meeting has to do with Walt Cummings.
Novak arranges a meeting in 15 minutes with Jack.
Jack’s new gf and Derek ask him if he is coming home with them, aww”¦.
Jack’s girl knows she is leaving him now that he is back at CTU. CTU is his one true love. She suspects that he was involved with Audrey. She asks if he still loves her, he says he does..
Some no namer comes by and interrupts.
Jack leaves and kisses her goodbye. No woman ever recovers from being dumped by Jack, once you go Jack you never go back.
Walt is listening to some scratchy tape and its actually Novak’s call to Jack. The big bad dude intercepted the call. Walt knows Jack is coming

commercial break. Not a bad start. I can’t wait to see Walt get his arse kicked.

The secret service continue to look for Mrs. Logan. It looks like she has hid in a horse shed, yes Aaron has found her. She pleads for him not to bring her back.
Aaron seems to be willing to listen to her about the “truth.” Another Service duded shows up. He escorts Mrs. Logan away. Aaron seems concerned.

Bill asks Audrey about the airport and the nerve gas, they aren’t checking ports.
The bad dudes are preparing the nerve gas for something.
Its in a big container that is about to go on a ship. The two guys argue about payment. Something is up.
Audrey is confronted by Jack’s now ex-gf, who asks her if she still has feelings for Jack. Audrey refuses to answer. She tells Audrey she cares about Jack, that Jack still loves her. She tells Audrey id she doesn’t love him to her him go.
Jack is headed to meet Novak

He stops the car in a park area.
He gets a call and its from Audrey. She tells him”¦. pause”¦..say it already. She asks if he is coming back. Jack says he doesn’t know. He tells her he doesn’t know what he is doing. She asks if Jack still loves her.
Damn it woman. Leave him alone.
Jack tells Audrey he never stopped loving her. She wants to keep Jack from his work. He hangs up, its time to go!
Jack gets out of the car.
Logan is on the phone about the nerve gas. Aaron comes in to tell Logan they found his wife. Aaron tells Logan about the conspiracy claims, Walt walks in. Aaron leaves without finishing his thought.
Walt comes in to talk to Logan. He tells him that Bauer is on his way over. Walt admits he helped the terrorists, he says he leaked the info about the nerve gas.
Logan is pissed but Walt stops him before he makes the phone call. Walt says the gas is going to Russia but the gas will be detonated by remote once it gets to the terrorist base.
Walt wants to create a “smoking gun” in Central Asia to prove they have WMDs.
Logan calls Walt a traitor who screams he is a patriot. Walt said Palmer had to be killed. Walt said he cant recover the nerve gas now. He says he has to let things play out how they are or his presidency will be tainted.

Commercial time.
Oh you sly Walt, I didn’t give you enough credit. Jack will still take you down though. Logan needs to be shot “accidentally” during the scuffle.

Jack watches as Novak approaches. Novak gets out of the car. You know people are waiting for them.
Jack will wipe them out, I hope old man Novak gets a kill or two in.
Jack senses something is up, its like he is Wolverine.
A helicopter and fleet of cars show up.
Jack is taken at gunpoint. Novak is shocked.
Jack is taken in cuffs.
Logan stares blankly. Walt tells him that Jack is arrested. Oh now Mike Novak is being detained too.
Walt tells Logan that once the gas leaves American soil it will be hard to bring anything back to him.
Logan asks for CTU to be cut out of the loop. Walt agrees.
Logan gets a call from his wife, he ignored is.
Jack is taken out of the SUV, Aaron sees it going on. You know he is gonna save the day now.
Aaron asks what is going on. He finds out the orders came through Walt.
Hobbit tells Bill and Audrey that they have been pulled off the investigation. Bill suggests disregarding the order. Hobbit doesn’t think it’s a good idea. Bill tells him that he doesn’t have the experience to know better.
Hobbit tells him that Bill cant talk to him like that. Bill is pulling a Gandalf on his ass.
Bill is really coming along this season. Last season he was a dope but I like him now.

Mrs. Logan’s assistant asks if she can help her, btw the assistant is hot in a weird sort of way.
Mrs. Logan is unclear how she went from her hubby’s confident to just an afterthought. Jean Gray is doing a solid job as the somewhat psycho but only one on the ball First Wife.
Aaron takes Jack out of the detention cell. Jack knows who Aaron is. He tells him about Palme’s killer and how it ties into Walt.
Jack lays it all on the line to Aaron about Walt and the nerve gas and the Palmer killing. Aaron tells Jack the first lady thinks something is going on.
He tells Aaron that what Walt is doing is essentially a coup d’etat.

Commercial time.
Nice call on the coup reference Jack. It looks like Aaron is going to let Jack go so he can kick Walt’s ass.

Aaron tells one of the other SS guys that Bauer has escaped. NICE!!
Walt is with Logan and is upset CTU hasn’t transferred the operation to them.
Aaron walks in and gets yelled at.
Jack is right behind him. Walt makes a run for the phone.
Jack is beating him badly.
Aaron just stands there.
Jack tells Logan about the conspiracy who tells him he knows.
Logan tells Jack its too late.
Jack punches Walt who denies knowing anything. Jack pulls a knife and threatens to poke out his knife. He starts cutting him. Walt tells him to stop. He tells him what port its at, and where the container is.

Jack calls CTU and tells Bill the news. He tells him the ship is set to depart at 2:30 p.m.
Logan tells Bill that CTU is to stay in charge and get the gas. Hobbit asks if Jack is headed back.
Jack and Aaron are prepared to hand themselves over to the authorities. Logan tells Aaron to take back his shield and get Walt out of his sight.
Now its just Jack and the President. Logan tells Jack he trusted him and that he was coerced. He tells Jack the fact he is alive presents problems for both of them.
Jack wants to stay on till the nerve gas is recovered and then he offers to disappear again.
Logan shakes Baue’s hand.
Jack picks up his stuff and leaves.

Commercial time.
Aaron Pierce is nominated for American of the hour for his bravery against all odds. Jack, well Jack is Jack and he broke a few of Walt’s ribs although I would have loved it if Jack had plucked out his eye.
Ok so Jack and CTU have pretty much solved mission #1. Get rid of Walt. Now we need to find out who sketchy dude in charge of things is.
And what is gonna be the big attack? You know it’s not going to be THIS easy.

Mrs. Logan is being escorted to her car and off to the loony bin. Some SS guys stops the car.
Logan comes to the door and gets her out of the car. He admits he was wrong and she was right about the conspiracy. He tells her that it was Walt and everything was his idea to send her away.
She is still pissed off at him. He is interrupted, he has to go, he tries to kiss her but she rebukes him.
Chloe tells Hobbit that she has found the ship that is heading out of Long Beach. Thing is there are 1000 containers.
Edgar says he found the container as it’s the only one with medical supplies.
Ivan Erwich? is the guy with the yellow tie. He is a bad Russian dude.
Jack and Bill are discussing what to do about him.
CTU guys have found the container. Bill is watching via camera.
They open the hatch”¦..and”¦.
Nothing happens. They enter”¦ they find some containers and a dude inside. HE is dead.
It’s the dude who was talking to Ivan, he wanted his money remember?
There are no gas canisters in the container.
Jack demands to get Walt in here NOW!!
Jack tells Walt the gas isn’t there. Walt is confused, he doesn’t know what’s going on.
Walt sees the dead guy, it’s the guy who was working for him.
The phone rings”¦. It’s someone calling Walt’s cell , its Schaffe’s (dead guy) number calling.
Ivan knows he altered the arming codes. Ivan asks for the President, Walt says the President didn’t know anything.
Ivan says he doesn’t negotiate with his enemies and his country is going to pay a very steep price.

Final Thoughts
A pretty solid episode, not overly busy and action-packed though. But it’s a nice breather episode from the fast paced first five hours. Jack got to beat Walt up so that was nice.
Take away Audrey and this is a very solid episode. Limited Chloe was a bonus too. Also Edgar finally did something right.
