[WWE] Rey Talks About Using Eddie in Storyline, Chavo at No Way Out & More News Items

Archive

– PWTorch.com and PWInsider.com have both reported that, during the Canadian airing of Smackdown, Michael Cole announced that RAW superstar Chavo Guerrero will be at No Way Out alongside Eddie Guerrero’s wife Vicki.

– In today’s Baltimore Sun, Rey Mysterio was interviewed as a preview to No Way Out, and discussed the use of Eddie Guerrero’s name in his storyline with Randy Orton: “It’s hard to hear what has to be said from Randy. Eddie Guerrero had such an impact on the fans, on the company, on the [wrestlers]. He was loved by everybody. But I think the most important thing is that his wife has a lot of say in this. If she’s comfortable with all of this being done … she knew Eddie very well, and I think Eddie would want this to continue as long as it could. I think he’s up in heaven, and he’s enjoying every single moment.”

He also talks about using his son Dominick in storylines, the impact of his size on his career, and his high-flying style. The full story is here.

– Former WWE wrestler Chris Kanyon has recently “come out” as a gay wrestler. He has been very cryptic, making the announcement at an indie show, then going online to his MySpace blog and saying that while “Chris Kanyon” may be gay, his real life persona may not be, and that he will let the world know in due time. – Yesterday, WWE.com posted a short story about the late Johnny Grunge.

– Also on WWE.com is a message encouraging people to vote for Stacy Keibler, “Unlimited” video from the RAW commercial breaks, the latest episode of Heat featuring Kane in the main event, a tease that Tazz will be making a big announcement at Saturday’s RAW house show at Nassau Colleseum, and the latest update to the Kurt Angle’s “top feuds” feature. The latter is a very interesting retrospective of one of the top wrestlers of this decade. I’ll have commentary on this on TheWrestlingBlog later today.
