Randy Orton responds to being suspended

Prior to SmackDown this past Tuesday, Randy Orton was told that he was being suspended for 60 days due to unprofessional conduct. WWE.com recently caught up with Orton to get his reaction to his suspension. Here is what he had to say:

“WWE has certain standards of conduct they expect out of all the Superstars on both RAW and SmackDown. Unfortunately, I violated those standards and was not representing WWE the way I should have been. Basically, my conduct was unbecoming of a champion, which is what I will be again when I return.”

– WWE.com has also posted news about Chris Jericho’s performance tonight, Tim White’s latest video, details on its new mobile initiative and The Miz’ latest commentary.

– Supershow tapings for Raw and Smackdown will be held on July 3 in Philadelphia, PA and July 31 at the Continental Airlines Arena in New Jersey. New Year’s Revolution will be held at the Savvis Center in St. Louis, Missouri on January 7th, 2007, and this year’s Survivor Series will be in Philadelphia on November 26.

– Smackdown in Philly will be preempted this week due to a Flyers game, with the wrestling show airing on UPN 57 at 6pm Saturday.

– Shadows Fall has recorded new theme music for Rob Van Dam.
