– Jim Ross will be replacing Joey Styles on the Raw announcing team tonight for Backlash. Vince McMahon has been growing frustrated with Joey’s slow grasp of the WWE announcing style, and has made a decision to re-institute Ross on the team. Styles is expected to resume duties calling shows for the new ECW brand.
– The stories floating around about RVD facing JBL for the title at One Night Stand are untrue, at least as of close of business yesterday. RVD is currently scheduled to face the winner of tonight’s Backlash main event.
– Greg Gagne will be starting as a new road agent for WWE tonight. Barry Windham was discussed as a possible candidate for the road agent job that Bob Orton was being groomed for, but the company has decided to go with Gagne.
