The company wants to start hosting its PPV shows in different arenas and is tentatively scheduling September’s No Surrender to be held away from Universal Studios.
The long-term plan remains to have Samoa Joe eventually make a full alliance with Sting. In the meantime, he will work a singles program with Scott Steiner.
The rumoured full card for Slammiversary is:
– King of the Mountain Match for the NWA World Heavyweight Title, with Christian Cage defending against Ron Killings, Jeff Jarrett, Sting and Abyss
– America’s Most Wanted vs. Christopher Daniels & A.J. Styles for the NWA World Tag Team Titles
– Samoa Joe vs. Scott Steiner
– Rhino vs. Bobby Roode & Scott D’Amore in a Handicap Match
– Kevin Nash vs. Chris Sabin (or possibly Sonjay Dutt)
– Team 3-D vs. The James Gang in a Last Man Standing Match
– Raven vs. Larry Zbysko in a Hair vs. Hair Match
– Jim Cornette’s debut as the new authority figure
