[ECW] Two TNA Stars Turn Down Contracts, ECW Arena Show & More

Archive

– At yesterday’s TNA house show at New Alhambra Arena (the old ECW Arena), TNA stars Rhino and Brother Runt (Spike Dudley) at separate times said that they received offers from WWE to come back to ECW, but have turned them down. After his win over Jeff Jarrett, Rhino made the announcement that he was sticking with TNA. Following the show, which ended with fans throwing tons of chairs into the ring, Runt came out with his WWE contract to join ECW “for one night only” and tore it up.

– WWE’s relaunched ECW returns to the ECW Arena on Saturday, June 24, with a TV taping that will most likely air in the regular 10pm time slot that Tuesday (the July 4 edition of the show should air live the following week). The PRESALE tix for the show has already sold out, according to the arena’s Web site, with tickets to be made available to the public next weekend.

– ECW One Night Stand will be airing overseas for US Military members and their families, so check MyAFN.net for local times. This includes being aired in Korea on Tuesday, June 13 at 9pm — the slot usually reserved for RAW. RAW will instead air on Wednesday at 9pm. Usually AFN only broadcasts the Wrestlemania PPV for free.
