– ECW.com has posted ECW pix and put up a video of Terry Funk, Sabu and Rey Mysterio getting all crazy-bloody and/or stitched up here. Terry Funk needed 5-7 stitches to close wounds suffered in the tag match according to PWInsider.

– If you were wondering, the Rey/Sabu finish was indeed planned.

– Paul Heyman was said to be very happy with last night’s PPV, and while he is head of creative, of course Vince has final say.

– John Cena was reportedly a total pro backstage last night, likely not having been told he was losing the belt until that day. He was said to have had fun in the hostile environment. He reportedly loved the reaction he got and NY fans’ passion.

– HHH and Stephanie weren’t at the show, as Steph is due to give birth in a few weeks. She hasn’t been on the road, but working in Stamford.

– Lou D’Angeli (Sign Guy Dudley/Lou E. Dangerously) will be working with WWE, likely as Director of Live Events for ECW. He made a cameo in the ring last night at the post-main event celebration.

– ECW will likely be back at the Hammerstein Ballroom on Tuesday, August 1, even though RAW and SD have a supershow the day before at the Continental Airlines Arena.

– ECW wanted The Big Show to face his former tag partner Spike Dudley last night, but Matt Hyson turned down WWE and ripped up the contract at a TNA house show, as previously reported.

– Dave Meltzer is confirming that they will not take the belt off of RVD tonight, with Van Dam vs. Edge scheduled for Vengeance. RVD is scheduled for the Vengeance press conference tomorrow in Charlotte. Flair and Michaels are also scheduled to be there even though both have been off of TV for weeks. Flair is returning tonight from his honeymoon.

– Some of the music used last night was ECW music from Harry Slash, others were WWE songs. Big Show came out to a remix of his song, and Kurt did as well, with the “you suck” cues edited out.
