Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Fresh Meat – Recap – Episode 15 (FINALE)

Archive, Shows

This is the finals of this show! No need to rank the teams as Darrell and Aviv, Wes and Casey, and Tina and Kenny have made it to the end. Darrell and Aviv SHOULD win tonight, but if by some chance they don’t, it better NOT be Tina and Kenny or you will hear my screams throughout the land. Lets see what happens, though!!

Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Fresh Meat – (Episode 15/FINALE)

Cue the music..cue the entrances..cue the video game effects with each team being shown together as it gets loaded onto your TV or computer screen. The “alumni” are dressed in black, while the “fresh meat” are dressed in red. Oh..and it’s TJ Lavin as the host playing this “video game”…

We waste no time as the teams get their last clue. But it’s not a clue at all. It’s just a congratulations message. Wes says him and Casey have done exile 5 times now and they seem confident they can win again. Tina says all of her hard work is on the line. There is a HUGE difference in the amount of money won in this final challenge. Darrell drinks some water and says he has made it to four finals in these challenges. He has won the past three, so he hopes to make it a perfect 4 for 4 today. Casey doesn’t feel sorry for any team that got kicked off by her and Wes or Tina and Kenny. She says “HA!” to them. Kenny says it hasn’t sunk in yet that he is in the finals, but Tina and himself are on the attack.

TJ now explains the rules of this final challenge to the teams. First place wins $250,000 for the team. Second place is $30,000 and third place is $20,000. It’s a giant race to the finish line. The finish line is 10 miles away, though. They can’t see it from where they stand on the beach. There are various checkpoints during the race. They have to read each sign and do what it tells them to do. There are also two puzzles in the race. But some can help you, while others can hurt you! Oh, I like that a lot! Here is how the puzzles work, though. If they solve the puzzle on the 1st attempt, they can continue with no weight. If they solve it on the second attempt, they have to put 25 lbs. into their duffle bags. On the third attempt, they add 50 lbs., but if they can’t solve it on the third attempt, it’s 100 lbs.! That would suck! But at least it’s not based on the luggage they brought to the island. In addition, the team members will be attached to each other by a length of rope. They can’t walk away from each other. It’s time to win some money!

Each team gets ready. Aviv hopes we see her first over the finish line. Casey tells Wes to slow his pace down for her. Wes hopes it’s not too slow, because he wants to win. They both agree they can handle one or two hours of pain for all of that money! Tina and Kenny start arguing before the race begins! HAHAHAHA! TJ tells the teams to go and we are off! Time for our first break!

Commercial time!

Everyone tries to pace themselves. They reach checkpoint #1 and they have to run in the water for the next part of the race. Tina is already tired. Wes is already dragging Casey along. Darrell and Aviv are in first.

They make it to the checkpoint #2, which is the first puzzle. They have to jump these pegs to leave only one. Everyone is trying it. No one gets it on the first attempt. They all screw up the second attempt as well. Tina and Kenny screw up the third attempt. Same for Wes and Casey. They have to carry 100 lbs. each. Darrell and Aviv are behind, but they solve it on the third attempt. So they only have to carry 50 lbs. They have to make up some time, though.

They are at checkpoint #3 now. They have to do a military crawl under these logs until the next checkpoint. Tina and Kenny and Darrell and Aviv are tied for the lead. Casey says she is a “girlie girl”. She likes to shop and put on makeup. She hates this physical stuff. Kenny complains that Tina is all mouth! Darrell and Aviv continue to work well as a team, though.

Checkpoint #4 and Darrell and Aviv are ahead. They have to carry their partner to the next checkpoint now. Wes wants to be here more than anyone else. He has dragged Casey along this whole game, and this is no different here. Kenny can’t believe he has to carry Tina around. He’s not happy about that.

Checkpoint #5 now. Aviv is starting to slow down. Kenny and Tina continue to argue. Kenny says Tina is annoying, but they have been a good team together. Casey thinks anyone can still win. This is the second puzzle. They have to move sticks to form squares. Aviv says if they get this right, they can drop all of their weight, but if they are wrong, they have to carry ALL the weight! This will probably decide who wins this game. Time for our last break!

Commercial time!

We come back and Aviv figures out the second puzzle on the first attempt! They have no weight to carry! Yay! It should be all over now! Tina and Kenny are the next ones to get to the puzzle. Tina can’t think, though. Tina and Kenny fail their first attempt. Wes and Casey suck at puzzles, so they are screwed.

Checkpoint #6 is a rope climb up the hill to the finish line. Darrell and Aviv make their climb to victory and they cross the finish line in FIRST PLACE!! YES!!! Tina and Kenny and Wes and Casey make their long, slow journey up the top of the hill. Tina and Kenny finish in second place! Wes and Casey are third!

Wes says third place SUCKS! Casey feels bad, since she thinks she let Wes down. Tina is upset and emotionally drained. Kenny didn’t think they would make it this far. Darrell and Aviv are the winners! Darrell says that he ALWAYS wins these challenges. You better get rid of him early or regret it later!

We see clips of the “freah meat” and their first “challenge” experience. Everyone was here to win money, but the “rookies” were no different than the “alumni”. Wes says this game is not a fair one. It’s all about politics and he thinks the “Austin” cast, yes we have to say that one more time, got screwed! Aviv thinks she won’t be an “alumni” until she does 2 or 3 more challenges, but they are not “fresh meat”anymore!

And we are out for good for this show!! See you next time!

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
