Remember the casting news that Johnny Depp had been cast as the main villian in I Am Legend? According to IESB.net this rumor is untrue, Depp never signed on and bottom line, he is not in the film.
The IESB can confirm that the Phillip character is not in this script and that this movie will actually be closer to The Omega Man film than the original 1954 novel written by Richard Matheson.
