Byte This! to Return on Saturday

News

WWE.com has announced the return of Byte This!, the Web show that used to air live every Wednesday night, and which had become known for an interesting mix of kayfabe and shoot commentary. Some notable episodes of Byte This! include an infamous one where Stone Cold Steve Austin ranted on the WWE creative team, a series of shows that played off of the Matt Hardy/Lita/Edge real-life issues that led to Matt’s release and then re-hiring, and of course the final episode of Byte This! earlier this year where the Heart Throbs got too risque with Todd Grisham. The Heart Throbs were later released in part due to this incident.

On the next Byte This! – being billed as a “special” – Vince McMahon will be live for the first time since the Unforgiven Hell in a Cell vs. DX.

Fans can ask Vince questions here, and watch some of the show’s archives here. Byte This! archives have been moved from the “Webshows” area of WWE.com to the “Community” sub-site. The
Webshows area now features John Cena’s “Five Questions” (in the latest edition, he talks about how it felt to return to Smackdown last week), RAW’s “Heat” b-show, “28 Segundos” with Carlos and Hugo, Todd Grisham’s “Fantasy Weekly” Webcast, and ECW’s “Hardcore Hangover” (featuring videos from the latest edition of ECW’s weekly show). Smackdown is the only WWE brand with no form of Webshow, with Velocity being cancelled once ECW took its place at most Smackdown TV tapings.
