The Show:
Cosmetic enhancement seems to be an “in” thing to show on cable television. From shows like Nip/Tuck to Miami Ink, there is a focus on people and the things they do to their bodies in the name of “looking” better. So it was just a matter of time before we got a documentary on When Things Go Wrong, because gosh darn it, we’re just not paranoid enough about things.
So here are the stories of three people who had surgeries that went horribly wrong. Mona went for a tummy tuck and ended up not being able to breathe due to crap (literally) in her lungs and her leg amputated. Tony went for a nose job and also ended up with breathing problems. And Lucille went for a face lift and ended up with her skin collapsing.
In between the stories we get a look at the history of plastic surgery, dating back to World War I as well as insight from various plastic surgeons and doctors. There’s not a whole lot of it, but it’s enough of a break between the “they f*cked up” stories.
The DVD:

(Presented in Fullscreen format)
I’m not expecting a whole lot from a documentary, so this seemed good enough. Lucille looked overly pink though.

(English Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo)
Again, it’s good enough for a documentary.

None. Zip. Zilch. Nada.
