In Hindsight – Survivor Thursday

Shows

We’re down to 12 players, and we’re finally at the point where we see strategy come into focus. Or at least we’re hoping to. We’ve got a twist coming up, so we’ll see how that affects things.

For now, let’s see what the Survivor celebs have to say.

Eliza is back, and she and Murtz discuss woman on woman kisses.

Big Whiskey talks about Man Rules.

Dan still misses Cao Boi.

Kim can’t believe that Aitu considered voting out Ozzy.

Power Rankings
20. Sekou Bunch (Hiki)
19. Virgilo “Billy” Garcia (Aitu)
18. Cecelia Mansilla (Aitu)
17. J.P. Calderon (Raro)
16. Stephannie Favor (Raro)
15. Anh Tuan “Cao Boi” Bui (Aitu)
14. Cristina Coria (Raro)
13. Jessica “Flica” Smith (Aitu) [NC]
– Sports entertainment is a tough business, and you were probably the toughest woman on the tribe (and arguably the toughest woman this season), but you suffered from a lack of allies, and in the end the tribe decided that taking out the loner was the safe choice.

12. Brad “Nancy Boy” Virata (Raro) WORST PLAYER [NC] – Fitting name for Brad, to be honest. What happens when the guy from Hawaii decides not to swim and forces “city kid” Rebecca to take his place? A loss in the Reward Challenge, Adam going to Exile Island (again) and Brad wearing the goat horns this week. To say that he’s a candidate to flip tribes tonight is an understatement.

11. Rebecca Borman (Raro) [10] – Rebecca drops a spot, but I’m not faulting her effort. She gave it her all, but Rebecca isn’t a strong swimmer, and it cost her tribe valuable time.

10. Oscar “Ozzy” Lusth (Aitu) [5] – It’s apparent that Ozzy will be a target should Aitu lose one of the next two immunity challenges. But really, it’s between him and Jonathan at this point.

9. Adam Gentry (Raro) [11] – Nothing bad to say about Adam.

8. Sundra Oakley (Aitu) [N/C] – I’m still unsure about Sundra’s position in the game, and we probably won’t find out for sure until the next Aitu Tribal Council.

7. Jonathan Penner (Aitu) [1] – You probably know that your sole vote came from Jessica, and I give you respect for knowing that you may be a target because of your personality, but you’re probably unaware about how your so-called alliance is plotting your expulsion from the game.

6. Jenny Guzon-Bae (Raro) [9] – After last week, I was worried about how Jenny was perceived within the tribe. But it seems like Jenny’s still maintaining a power position, and it could come down to a struggle between her and Parvati to see who stays in control.

5. Nathan “Nate” Gonzalez (Raro) BEST PLAYER [6] – Nate is in a great position, and he literally didn’t have to do anything to earn it. No, he’s not lazy, he simply got to sit around and gather information about Aitu because he was their “captive”. And with Raro getting smoked in the Reward Challenge, the tribe saw how valuable he was to them. And when it came time to step up at camp and in the Immunity Challenge, Nate did it and did it without complaint.

4. Parvati Shallow (Raro) [5] – We know that Miss Shallow is in control of her tribe – or at least in no danger of going home just yet.

3. Rebekah “Becky” Lee (Aitu) [4] – So the alliance within the alliance is brought to light, and Jonathan is on the outside looking in.

2. Candice Woodcock (Aitu) [3] – See Becky.

1. Yul Kwon (Aitu) [2] – Back on top. Yul is in a secure alliance of three, and that should take him to the merge at the very least. On top of that, he’s got the immunity idol, which could make things very interesting come merge time.

That’s all for this week. Come back at around 3pm for the Crystal Ball’s prediction!
